The Dynamo cycle repairs workshop had the chance to restore the René Herse 1951 bike of Jean Pierre Copentipy, an experienced and distinguished rider of the famous Herse team. It was his grandson who entrusted us with this delicate work on an exceptional bike.
For the occasion I wrote a complete and detailed article including many unpublished archive images for the American magazine Bicycle Quarterly .
You can order a copy of the latter if you would like to know more.

Jean Pierre Copentipy achieved numerous podium finishes and notably won Paris-Rouen 1933. He was a solid cyclist who trained many young people.
The old hiker presented here has participated in numerous Polymultiplée events, notably in Chanteloup.
Here are the photos of its restoration.
